GET INVOLVED, IT'S EASY!
EAGLE AND GIRL SCOUT PROJECTS
Scouts contribute in so many positive ways to Rome and Floyd County and TRED has been lucky to be the beneficiary of several Boy and Girl Scout projects. Birdhouses, picnic tables, a trailhead kiosk and benches are just a few amazing additions to the trails donated by Scouts.
Project ideas: bat boxes and picnic tables at Jackson Hill and GE Trails, trailhead kiosk at Blossom Hill, tree plantings at GE Trails,
LOVE YOUR TRAIL
Litter ain't lit anywhere and certainly not on the trails! Until people stop throwing trash out of car windows and throwing it on the ground, TRED will continue the efforts to pick up trash and road debris along the trails.
If you or your organization is interested in a clean up event, contact us. We provide all materials (gloves, grabbers, bags) and help coordinate details. Also, if you see trash along the trail, please pick it up and place it in the nearest garbage can.
SHARE YOUR TRAIL SHOTS
Are you an avid trail user and also take pictures or video along the way? Share your best trail shots with us to post on the website and the TRED social media pages to show others your experiences.

Do you love walking, running, jogging, riding, skipping, hop-scotching, roller blading, sitting, playing, kicking or jumping on the trails? IF so, then you could be a TRED Head!
If you're spotted by TRED board members repeatedly using the trails then you could be gifted with a hand-made one-of-a-kind tie dyed TRED Head shirt.
GE Trails and Jackson Hill trails need regular maintenance throughout the year. Volunteers meet several Saturdays monthly at GE from 9-noon improving trail conditions. If you are interested in volunteering to help maintain the trails, please contact Julie for more information.
